The whole carbonizing process can be divided into three steps:
1. Briquette drying
Normally, the raw materials contain certain percent of moisture, in the first step, moisture will evaporate steadily.
2. Preliminary Carbonizing
With the raw material burning, the raw materials begin to have thermal materials. the hemicellulose decompose into CO2, CO and amount of acetic acid.
3. Thourghly carbonizing
Chemical changes will happen in this step. Under continuous burning, the raw materials produces much gas such as acetic acid, carbinol and woo tar, these gas contributes to a higher temperature and the
charcoal briquttes are generated.

It is worth mentioning that E.P Machinery’s carbonization furnace is equipped with a special air storage chamber, to store the smoke produced during carbonization process. The redundant smoke will be used as fuel for carbonizing or others, to save cost and make it more environmental friendly.
