Wood vinegar, reddish-brown liquid, has a special tobacco charcoal smell, gravity between 1.02 -1.05, with moisture accounts for 80-90% and organic matter 10-20%. Organic acids make up about 6% (weight of wood acetic acid), of which more than 85% are acetic acid. Methanol accounts for about 3%.
